Scope of coordination

Wick Buildings Sourcing Services

Six practical steps keep a steel building RFQ comparable across potential suppliers.

I

Supplier matching

We begin with intended use, site country, clear span, eave height, crane loading and target delivery timing. Candidate suppliers are screened against the requested building type and their ability to provide reviewable documents. The shortlist is a procurement starting point, not a guarantee of engineering suitability.

II

Quotation comparison

Each RFQ asks for the same basis: steel grade, frame geometry, cladding and insulation build-up, corrosion treatment, connection system, included drawings and delivery terms. We identify exclusions and assumptions before comparing prices, so a low number does not conceal missing scope or transport costs.

III

Sample coordination

Where relevant, we coordinate finish samples, panel cut sections, coating information and connection details. The buyer and appointed engineer can use these materials to decide what additional testing or evidence is needed for the project location. Samples are not substitutes for system-level fire or structural evidence.

IV

Inspection coordination

We help set inspection hold points around material traceability, fabrication records, welding procedures, coating checks and packing condition. The final supplier remains responsible for manufacture, and independent inspectors or specialists must confirm findings against the agreed purchase specification.

V

Consolidation

For a multi-package building, we align primary steel, secondary members, panels, doors, fasteners and accessories on a packing list. Missing or mismatched items are surfaced before shipment. Container planning depends on actual bundle sizes, lifting method and destination restrictions.

06

Export coordination

We check the shipment document list, destination port and agreed Incoterms with the selected supplier and freight parties. Site foundations, local permits, design approvals and installation supervision need separate project owners. Our role is to keep the purchase and shipment trail visible to the buyer.
